About the Job
We are seeking a full-time Civil Engineer with 4+ years of professional experience to support land development site design and engineering projects as part of a collaborative project team. This position offers a great opportunity to grow professionally, take on greater project responsibility, and build a path toward Professional Engineer (PE) licensure while building a long-term career with an employee-owned firm.

Responsibilities
  • Perform land development site design analysis with project team members, including conventional plans, surveys, investigations, structures, and related engineering elements.
  • Prepare complete project documentation, including plans, specifications, and engineering estimates.
  • Collect, assemble, and organize project data to support design and project execution.
  • Evaluate, select, and adapt standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria to assigned projects.
  • Plan and coordinate detailed aspects of engineering work across multiple projects of moderate size or portions of major projects.
  • Contribute to the preparation of project scopes, tasks, budgets, and schedules.
  • Collaborate with contractors and other project team members.
  • Attend project meetings and present assigned aspects of engineering assignments and projects.

Requirements / Qualifications:
  • 4+ years of professional experience supporting civil site and drainage design projects.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
  • Engineer in Training (EI/EIT) certification preferred.
  • Grading, drainage, and utility design.
  • Stormwater permitting.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD and AutoCAD Civil 3D.
  • Strong analytical skills for engineering calculations related to design, analysis, testing, and implementation.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering plans and specifications.
  • Capability to prepare drawings, specifications, acceptance test procedures, and maintenance or training documentation.
  • Knowledge of project budget and schedule tracking.
  • Effective collaboration skills with team members of diverse experience and educational backgrounds.
  • Excellent oral, written, and presentation communication skills.
